Catholic health care ministry is about tending to the sick, suffering and dying as though we were tending to Jesus Himself.

In the past, countless women and men have devoted their entire lives to caring for the sick and suffering, leaving a powerful legacy of Catholic Health ministry. Today, we are all called to be 'Good Samaritans' stopping along the way to show the compassion and love of Jesus.

Some are involved in preventative, acute and long-term care, home care, end-of-life care, spiritual care and supportive counseling. Others are in the community reaching out to the poor, visiting the lonely, and tangibly caring for the needs of the less-abled.

Ultimately, Catholic health care ministry is an activity of the whole church - responding to human suffering, and caring for the well-being of the whole person.

Together, we all build a faith community that is continuing the healing ministry of Jesus.
